This policy explains how the VenueBeat iOS app ("VenueBeat," "we," "us") handles information. VenueBeat is operated by Rad Maddie Labs. Questions: privacy@venuebeat.app.
The venues you save, your saved searches, and your in-app settings are stored on your device and synced across your devices through your own iCloud account (Apple's CloudKit private database). This information lives in your Apple account — Rad Maddie Labs has no access to it and cannot read it. Apple's handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
VenueBeat's reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. They do not use push tokens and send nothing off your device.
To understand which venues and event types people find useful — so we know where to focus — VenueBeat can collect anonymous, aggregate usage statistics. This is off by default. We ask for your consent in the app, and you can turn it on or off anytime in Settings.
If you turn it on, the app sends, at most once a day:
That's it. We do not send your name, an account, a device identifier, an advertising identifier, your location, or anything else that could identify you or your device. The data goes to our own analytics endpoint (Cloudflare Workers Analytics Engine). Your network address (IP) is discarded at the edge and never stored, and each item is recorded as an independent, unlinked count — so the data cannot be tied back to a person or a single device. We use it only in aggregate (for example, "venue X was saved by N devices this week"). It is never used for advertising, never sold, and never shared.
Because this collection happens only with your consent and involves no identifiers, it does not require — and VenueBeat does not use — Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt.
VenueBeat downloads a public event-listings file from our servers to show you shows. Like any internet request, our hosting providers (Cloudflare and GitHub) may briefly process your device's IP address to deliver that file. This is standard web infrastructure; it is not used to build a profile of you.
VenueBeat contains no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs, no social-media trackers, and no data brokers. We do not track you across other apps or websites.
VenueBeat is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
You control the optional analytics with the in-app toggle: the lawful basis is your consent, and turning it off stops all collection immediately. Because the analytics are anonymous aggregates with no identifier, there is no personal profile linked to you to access, correct, or delete. The data you saved (favorites, settings) lives in your own iCloud and you can remove it at any time from within the app or your Apple account. Aggregate analytics are retained by our analytics provider for a limited window (approximately 90 days) and then expire.
If we change how VenueBeat handles information, we will update this page and the effective date above, and surface material changes in the app where appropriate.
